Job summary

Join our specialist Community Eating Disorders Service and play a key role in supporting young people and their families as they transition from CAMHS to Adult Eating Disorder Services. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to provide expert assessment, therapeutic intervention, care coordination and advocacy, working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies. We are looking for an experienced and compassionate mental health professional with a passion for eating disorders, strong clinical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care while helping shape and develop innovative services across Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire.

Main duties of the job

  • Lead and coordinate the transition of young people with eating disorders from CAMHS to Adult Eating Disorder Services, ensuring seamless, person-centred care planning.
  • Undertake specialist mental health, risk and eating disorder assessments and develop comprehensive care and transition plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, family and group work, for young people with eating disorders and their families.
  • Act as a key resource and advocate for young people, families and professionals, providing advice, guidance and emotional support throughout the transition process.
  • Work collaboratively with CAMHS, Adult Services and partner agencies to ensure effective communication, joint working and coordinated care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, transition reviews, inpatient reviews and safeguarding processes as required.
  • Provide clinical supervision, training and support to colleagues, students and other professionals.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement, audit and research activities to enhance outcomes for young people and families.
  • Promote innovative, evidence-based practice and support the continual development of eating disorder services across Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire.
  • Manage a complex caseload autonomously whilst maintaining high standards of clinical governance, safeguarding and risk management
