Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Patient Experience and Engagement Administration Officer to join our Patient Experience Team. This role is central to ensuring the voices of patients, carers and local communities are heard and used to improve services across the Trust. The post holder will also provide support to the voluntary services and interpretations lead.

The postholder will provide comprehensive administrative, operational and analytical support for a range of patient experience and engagement programmes, including the NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT), National Patient Surveys, patient feedback initiatives and public engagement activities. You will work closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to collect, analyse and report on patient feedback, coordinate engagement events, maintain databases and support quality improvement activities arising from patient insight.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent organisational, communication and IT skills, who is passionate about improving the experience of patients and families and making a positive difference to the services we provide.

Main duties of the job

As a Patient Experience and Engagement Administration Officer, you will provide administrative and analytical support to the Patient Experience Team including voluntary services and interpretation services, helping to ensure that patient feedback is collected, analysed and used to improve services across the Trust.

Key responsibilities include coordinating patient experience and engagement activities, administering the Friends and Family Test (FFT) and national patient surveys, maintaining databases and records, and preparing reports on patient feedback and experience metrics. You will support the organisation of meetings, engagement events and patient participation activities, liaising with patients, carers, Trust staff and external stakeholders.

The role requires the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records, and produce clear and timely information to support service improvement. You will help identify themes and trends from patient feedback, support quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to ensuring that the patient voice influences service development and delivery.

We are looking for a motivated and organised individual with excellent communication and IT skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and improving patient experience is essential.
