Salary from £36,513 to £41,565 pa with potential to progress to £44,468 pa inclusive of London allowance

Fixed term appointment for 1 year (with possibility of extension for up to 2 years)

You will be required to work on the Nuffield funded project “Projecting Future Ethnic Diversity and Social Attitudes in Britain” in the Centre for Economic Performance, and associated core Centre projects. The project will develop models for projecting future ethnic diversity in Britain and exploring the likely implications of rising diversity for social attitudes on a wide range of issues.

An undergraduate degree in Economics, Statistics or other quantitative discipline to be completed by post start date is essential, as is experience of data work requiring great accuracy and attention to detail.

Essential criteria include: advanced experience of using programming languages such as STATA and R for analysing large scale micro data sets and the ability to learn new programming skills and use AI in an accurate, productive way; experience of data work requiring great accuracy and attention to detail; ability to identify appropriate methods of statistical investigation; ability to interpret and analyse patterns or trends in data; and ability to think through problems analytically; ability to perform literature reviews. The ability to work independently without close supervision is a requirement, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
