We are looking for a Salaried GP (4-8 Clinical sessions per week), to join our enthusiastic, progressive team of 2 Partners. There is Partnership opportunity. We are in a built-up inner-city district in the London Borough of Southwark, London. Acorn & Gaumont House Surgery is two minutes walk from Queens Road Peckham station. It is situated opposite Peckham Bus Station, London. In a grand listed building and extremely well connected by over ground train, and bus services.

Main duties of the job

The Practice: PMS Practice List size of 9,400 patients, 2 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GP, 2 Practice Nurse and 1 PCN pharmacist 1 PCN social prescriber, 1 Pharmacy Technician & 1 Trainee GP.

Purpose built premises, spacious, well equipped & parking available.

Excellent skill mix with clinical pharmacist, and nursing team

Are you a stressed salaried GP/Locum?

We feel that stress is often caused by loss of control over workload rather than workload itself. When you are taking unnecessary risks e.g. working only remotely, without having opportunity to see patients yourself if necessary or get colleague advice. A good small friendly experienced team and regular meetings help to fulfil your need for discussion and peer support. The clinical team and management is usually stable with weekly clinical meetings.

Acorn & Gaumont House Surgery is a well-established trainee and well managed practice based in a vibrant and multi-cultural area of Southwark in London with excellent road links and transport system. You will be seeing a mixture of telephone and remote patients.

We are looking for: A part time/Full time salaried GP- 8 sessions per week

We would be happy for the candidate to work full day sessions or divide them over the week to accommodate other Commitments.

An enthusiastic and innovative GP to join our practice team

A good team worker taking active part in the practice daily life including practice meetings, education programmes & Protected Learning Events monthly.

Involvement in QOF and population management
