Job Summary

Old Kent Road Surgery is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team. We welcome applications for both full-time and part-time positions.

Main duties of the job

Main Duties of the Role

• A mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations.
• Home visits as part of the clinical rota.
• Participation in the duty doctor/on-call rota.
• Reviewing investigations, prescriptions, correspondence and clinical documents.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will undertake the full range of duties associated with General Practice, including:

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate.
• Prescribe safely and in accordance with national and local guidance.
• Review laboratory results, correspondence and clinical documentation.
• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records using EMIS Web.
• Participate in duty doctor sessions and urgent care as part of the practice rota.
• Refer patients appropriately to secondary and community care services.
• Participate in practice meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Comply with all practice policies relating to confidentiality, safeguarding, information governance and health and safety.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to our diverse registered population, undertaking a range of clinical duties including face-to-face and telephone consultations, chronic disease management, home visits, prescription reviews, referrals and participation in the duty doctor rota.
