Main duties of the job

The Senior Care Assistant - Nights role at Avery Healthcare, located in Beltinge, is a permanent position with a salary of £16.00 per hour. In this role, you will support and work with the Care team to provide high standards of personal care and ensure a safe and caring environment. Responsibilities include monitoring the wellbeing of residents, being involved in care planning, supporting residents with medication, and acting as a key point of contact for residents and their families. Ideal candidates will embrace Avery's values of being caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable, and will hold an NVQ 3 or equivalent, with at least 2 years of experience in a similar care environment, and be responsive and flexible in their responsibilities.

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
  • Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

  • Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment.

  • Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
