ABOUT THE ROLE Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. Other responsibilities will include: Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times. Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner.

Main duties of the job

As a Care Assistant - Nights at Avery Healthcare, you will work at Miramar Care Home in Herne Bay, contributing to the well-being of our residents by delivering personal care and ensuring high standards of living. Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene while maintaining the dignity and independence of residents, understanding clinical risks like pressure sores and falls, and escalating concerns promptly. Candidates are expected to showcase values such as empathy and respect, though no prior experience is needed due to the comprehensive training provided. Fluency in communication and adaptability in handling shifts are key. Successful candidates must pass a DBS Disclosure check, covered by Avery Healthcare.

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
• Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner.
• Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
• Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
