Looking for Your First Step in Communications and Marketing?

We are looking for an Assistant Communications and Marketing Officer to join our Corporate Communications and Marketing team.

This is an opportunity for someone looking to begin their career in communications and marketing, gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of projects and campaigns.

You will help to development and deliver campaigns, creating content for multiple channels and formats while being a brand champion for Conwy County Borough Council. One day you could be creating social media content to promote a community initiative, the next you might be busy on photography and videography projects, updating website content, producing internal communications, or helping to deliver a campaign that encourages residents to access important council services.

You will have excellent communication, copywriting, and organisational skills, with an eye for detail and a passion for producing high-quality content. You will have experience, either through employment, volunteering or study, of communications, marketing or content creation, and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

We will invest in your development from day one. You'll have access to a wide range of training opportunities, hands-on experience across communications and marketing, and a dedicated mentor to support your progress and help you reach your potential.

You will have the chance to work with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders across a wide variety of services.

The role will initially be based at Coed Pella in Colwyn Bay, helping to build relationships with the team and get to know us. Once settled, our team agreement supports flexible and hybrid working.

It's important that we're the right fit for you too. Give us a call on (01492) 575948 for an informal chat about what it's like to work for Conwy.

This role offers flexible working options for a work life balance. This can include adjusting your working day and hybrid working, ie a balance of office and home working.
