Main duties of the job
As a Senior Care Assistant at Bosworth Care Home, youll be part of a close-knit, friendly team at our Weymouth location. Our team is supported by ongoing training and development opportunities, and we value compassion and reliability in our team members. Youll be part of an environment that prioritizes the comfort, safety, and dignity of residents, playing a vital role with responsibilities like personal care, care planning, medication administration, and facilitating activities for engagement and companionship. The role requires individuals to have at least a Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification, with previous care home experience. As a Senior Care Assistant, youll play a vital role in supporting residents to live comfortably, safely, and with dignity. No two days are the same, but your responsibilities will include:
Person-centred care: supporting residents with personal care such as bathing, dressing, and oral care while promoting independence and choice
Care planning: contributing to care reviews to ensure support plans reflect individual needs
Medication support: administering medication safely and in line with procedures
Activities & companionship: taking part in social activities, outings, and meaningful engagement within the home
Team support: helping new or existing colleagues through shadowing and teamwork, and supporting the smooth running of the home when required
What Were Looking For A minimum of 12 months remaining on your right to work in the UK, please note: Under new guidance we are unable to accept skilled or student visas
Level 2 Health & Social Care (or working towards Level 3)
Previous experience working within a care home
Caring, positive, and reliable individuals
Your role: Deliver and lead high-quality, person-centred care
Support residents with personal care, dignity, and independence
Administer medication safely and accurately
Contribute to and review care plans
Lead activities, outings, and meaningful engagement
Support and guide team members, stepping up when needed
