Job summary

An exciting opportunity for a Bank Community Phlebotomist to join our Community Phlebotomy team covering community areas in Stoke on Trent, Newcastle and Moorlands

You will be well motivated team players who are passionate about providing high quality care to patients.You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to organise and prioritise your workload without direct supervision.

You will need experience of phlebotomy and community working.

Our Community Phlebotomists work throughout Stoke and Staffordshire Moorlands providing home visits to patients who are housebound. The teams cover a large geographical area so ability to travel independently between patients' homes and the surrounding area is essential.

Main duties of the job

Our Community Phlebotomists work independently under the supervision of the Community Nursing Team, obtaining blood samples from patients.

As part of this role, you will be expected to:

• Obtain consistently high-quality blood samples for subsequent laboratory analysis.
• Work independently/lone working
• Keep accurate and up to date records.
• Escalate of concerns
• Undertake training
