An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and well-organised Band 3 Admin Coordinator to join the Respiratory Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) team based at Washwood Heath Community Diagnostic Centre.

Birmingham and Solihull's Respiratory SDEC service provides adults with rapid access to specialist respiratory assessment and treatment in the community, and ensures patients receive timely, high-quality care closer to home.

  • Manage telephone enquiries, accurately record and relay messages, and escalate urgent information as required.
  • Monitor and manage shared email inboxes, responding to and directing enquiries appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and administrative systems in line with Trust policies and NHS standards.
  • Establish and maintain effective administrative processes to support service delivery.
  • Liaise with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate timely patient care and pathway progression.
  • Arrange meetings, prepare agendas and supporting documentation, take minutes, and monitor completion of follow-up actions.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including typing and distributing clinical and non-clinical letters.
  • Produce reports and activity data as required and support service improvement initiatives.
  • Prioritise workloads effectively, working independently and collaboratively within a busy environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
