Job summary

The main duties of the Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) will include supporting the Midwifery Team in the delivery of safe, high-quality care to women and their babies. The post holder will help maintain a clean, tidy, and safe ward environment that promotes excellent standards of patient care and patient experience.

The role will involve assisting with a range of clinical and non-clinical duties, ensuring that women and their families receive compassionate and supportive care throughout their stay. In addition, the post holder will provide administrative support to the Midwifery Team, including ordering supplies, maintaining stock levels, updating records, and assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the ward.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to creating a positive, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, families, and colleagues.

Main duties of the job

We are pleased to offer a vacancy for a caring and motivated Health Care Support Worker to join the Midwifery Team at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

Main duties will include assisting the midwifery team with the delivery of patient care whilst maintaining a clean, tidy and safe ward environment conducive to high standards of patient care. The role will also involve the provision of some administration support to the midwifery staff, e.g. ordering of supplies.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a caring and empathetic approach and an ability to relate positively to staff, patients and visitors. Significant and relevant work/social experience which has utilised skills and knowledge that could be of benefit to this post are essential.

This post will involve working shifts including night duty.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
