Job summary

We are seeking a Band 5 CAMHS Practitioner to join the Getting Help Pathway within Rotherham CAMHS. As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, you will support children and young people experiencing emotional and mental health needs through timely triage, brief assessment and evidence-based interventions. The role includes managing and prioritising a caseload, assessing and responding to risk, maintaining accurate clinical records, delivering workshops and working collaboratively with families, education, social care and other professionals to promote positive outcomes. Main duties of the job

  • Undertake triage, brief assessments and evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties.
  • Manage and prioritise a caseload, ensuring timely responses in line with clinical need and service standards.
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to young people, families, carers and professionals
  • Assess and respond to risk, including self-harm and suicidal ideation, seeking senior support and supervision when required.
  • Deliver psychoeducational groups, workshops and training sessions for young people, parents and partner agencies.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and alongside education, social care and other partner organisations.
  • Contribute to safeguarding processes and promote the wellbeing and safety of children and young people.
  • Maintain accurate, high-quality electronic clinical records in accordance with Trust policies and professional standards.
  • Participate in clinical, managerial and safeguarding supervision, team meetings and service development activities.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, mandatory training and quality improvement initiatives.
