Job summary
North Wigan Primary Care Network (PCN) is seeking a highly organised and motivated Administration Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across our network of GP practices.
Main duties of the job
Working closely with the PCN Management Team, Clinical Director and member practices, the post holder will provide administrative, project and performance support to help deliver PCN priorities, contractual requirements and quality improvement initiatives. The role will involve coordinating activities across practices, supporting service development, monitoring performance, and helping to implement changes that improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with data, coordinating projects, building relationships and contributing to service improvement within primary care. Experience of Microsoft excel and working within a healthcare setting would be an advantage.
The role will be based at Aspull Surgery. Should we receive a suitable amount of the applicants, the position may be closed early.
Job description
The Administration Coordinator will support the effective operation and development of our PCN by:
- Monitoring and managing generic PCN email and enquiries
- Providing administrative support to Clinical Director and Management Team
- Coordinating implementation of agreed service changes, contracts, policies, pathways and quality improvement initiatives
- Creating and running searches using clinical systems such as EMIS and SystmOne to monitor performance against local and national targets
- Produce and maintaining reports, dashboards and performance data to support decision-making and service improvement
- Identifying trends, opportunities and innovative solutions to improve patient care and practice efficiency
- Supporting data quality improvement initiatives across practices
- Developing effective working relationships with PCN practices and stakeholders
- Supporting delivery of Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF), Investment and Impact Fund (IIF), and other contractual or incentive schemes
- Providing regular progress updates to practices regarding projects, performance and contractual requirements
- Supporting practices and staff in effective use of digital systems and new technologies
- Participating in and contributing to working groups, meetings, project groups and relevant forums across the PCN
- Escalating issues and providing feedback to PCN leadership to support effective decision-making and service planning
- Attend meetings as required and contribute to discussions on service delivery and improvement
