Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic administrator to join our friendly, well organised, and supportive research team at our GP surgery for three days a week on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Hours can be agreed based on the candidates preferences, including in-school hours if desired. This post is available from now, but we are happy to wait for the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
Your main role will be to provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support to the research team, ensuring smooth running of studies, effective communication with patients and staff, and accurate management of research documentation and logistics.
Job description
The following are the core responsibilities of the Research Administrator. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
- Filing results and paperwork in participant files
- Keeping minutes of our research team meetings
- Arranging rooms for external research team visitors
- Maintaining Investigator Site Files and ensuring all the relevant paperwork is in the correct place
- Receiving and processing stock when it comes to the surgery, and arranging courier collection of samples to and from patients homes and trial laboratories
- Supporting the doctors, nurses and patient participants in all administrative aspects of the research study process.

Located in the centre of an expanding town 10 miles north of Bristol, convenient for all amenities, we are a based in a large purpose-built premises and have a small branch surgery in Coalpit Heath

Our current research team includes 2 doctors, 7 research nurses, 2 lab technicians and a research administrator, who is leaving to pursue a new career. We are also part of a much wider practice team at the surgery
