Senior Cardiac Physiologist - Cardiac Invasive Services

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and forward-thinking Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join the Cardiology Department at Barts Health NHS Trust. Based primarily at St Bartholomew's Hospital, the successful candidate will work as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team delivering a comprehensive range of invasive and non-invasive cardiology services, with cross-site working across the Trust as required.The role will involve supporting the day-to-day delivery of cardiac investigations and procedures, including cardiac catheter laboratory procedures, cardiac rhythm management pathways, device follow-up clinics and a range of non-invasive diagnostic tests. The successful applicant will also contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and the training and supervision of junior staff and trainees.PLEASE NOTE: This vacancy is recruiting for 2 roles, 1 fixed term 12 months full time role full time and 1 fixed term 12 months part time(22.5 hours) role. The fixed term posts are for Maternity cover.

Main duties of the job

Applicants should be competent in non-invasive cardiac investigations and have experience working within a cardiac catheter laboratory environment. Experience in cardiac rhythm management, including pacemaker, ICD and CRT follow-up, would be advantageous. Candidates working towards independent practice in device therapies and BHRS accreditation are encouraged to apply.We are committed to supporting professional development and offer a strong culture of education, mentorship and clinical excellence.
