Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Patient Experience and Engagement Manager to lead the Trust's patient experience and engagement agenda, ensuring that the voices of patients, carers, families and local communities influence the delivery, improvement and transformation of services across the Trust.

This senior leadership role will provide strategic oversight of patient experience, engagement, volunteer services, and interpreting and translation services. The postholder will lead the development and delivery of programmes that capture, analyse and act upon patient feedback, including the NHS Friends and Family Test, National Patient Surveys and local engagement initiatives.

Working closely with clinical, operational and corporate teams, you will use patient insight to drive quality improvement, reduce inequalities, and support the delivery of outstanding patient-centred care. You will provide expert advice to senior leaders, develop effective partnerships with patients and communities, and ensure the Trust meets national standards and regulatory requirements relating to patient experience and engagement.

Main duties of the job

The Patient Experience and Engagement Manager will lead the Trust's patient experience and engagement agenda, ensuring the views of patients, carers and communities shape service design, delivery and improvement.

The postholder will provide leadership for patient experience, engagement, volunteer services, and interpreting and translation services. They will oversee the collection, analysis and reporting of patient feedback, including the Friends and Family Test, National Patient Surveys, complaints themes and local engagement activity, using insights to drive service improvement.

Working with clinical, operational and corporate teams, the role will support services to respond to feedback, improve patient experience, reduce health inequalities and strengthen co-production. The postholder will build effective relationships with patients, community groups and key stakeholders to promote involvement across the Trust.

The role includes producing reports for senior leaders and committees, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and leading projects that improve patient experience outcomes.

We are seeking an experienced, influential leader with excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills and a commitment to outstanding patient-centred care.
