The role offers freedom and autonomy to strengthen your unit, with ample professional development opportunities available. ABOUT YOU To become a Unit Nurse Manager (General), you must be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC registration. Key skills include developing care plans, conducting risk assessments, and having current knowledge of clinical practices and regulatory frameworks such as DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines. You should be a natural leader who mentors clinically, supporting newly qualified nurses throughout their preceptorship.
