Job summary
Working Full time: 37.5 hours per week
We are looking to appoint 2 enthusiastic Clinical Research Practitioners to support the delivery of commercial and observational studies across medical and surgical portfolios. They will ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), research governance and regulatory requirements.
The role will support study feasibility, setup, assist in identifying and screening potential participants, delivery planning, recruitment, coordinate and conduct study visits and ensure adherence to protocols.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Research Practitioner will ensure timely and accurate data entry, obtain and process clinical trial samples, respond to queries, support the recording and reporting of adverse and serious adverse events, escalate concerns as necessary, and be involved with audits and monitoring.
The Clinical Research Practitioner will perform clinical procedures such as venepuncture, ECGs and observations. They will contribute to patient care and document patient medical history in the electronic patient record system.
The Clinical Research Practitioner will work in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies and regulatory frameworks. They will maintain communication within the research team and clinical teams, report incidents, record finances on EDGE, and ensure compliance with mandatory training and participate in professional development.
Candidates should have experience in clinical research, research governance and regulatory requirements. They will ensure competence in clinical procedures and patient assessment whilst maintaining patient privacy, dignity and diversity. Organisational and communication skills is essential, the ability to work independently and prioritise workload under pressure, and a commitment to patient-centred research and continuous learning.
