We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our Community CAMHS team at an exciting time of transformation. Working within the Community, Wellbeing and Mental Health Care Group (CWAMH), you will support the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective services for children and young people.

You will play a key role in service improvement, helping to drive evidence-based, trauma-informed, and needs-led practice while ensuring the voices of children and young people are at the heart of service development. Working closely with the Care Group Head of Nursing, you will support the quality, patient safety, and clinical effectiveness agenda across the service.

About You

Current NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).Significant experience within CAMHS and/or Children's Mental Health Services.Knowledge of trauma-informed and needs-led approaches to care.Experience supporting service improvement and quality initiatives.Understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and clinical effectiveness.Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Deputy Associate Director of Operations, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide operational, professional, and clinical leadership for the Community CAMHS Unplanned Care Service.
  • Lead the delivery of a high-quality urgent and crisis mental health service for children and young people.
  • Manage complex clinical risk and ensure safe, effective service delivery.
  • Provide leadership, support, and supervision to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Drive service improvement and contribute to quality, patient safety, and clinical effectiveness initiatives.
