Job summary

Royal Cornwall Hospitals is the only Acute provider in Cornwall operating from three sites, Royal Cornwall Hospital, St Michael's Hospital and West Cornwall Hospital. The Trust provides services from satellite units such as the St Austell Surgical Hub. Our workforce provides high quality emergency, elective and specialist care across a range of clinical areas.

Main duties of the job

Responsible to operationally deliver qualitative, high performing services across the Division to deliver services which are outstanding.To coordinate and prioritise the effective and efficient delivery of clinical services across the Division and the management of operational business on a day-to-day basis, meeting allnecessary standards of safety, quality, and patient access within agreed resources. To ensure there is a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in patient pathways and services.Provide clear guidance and support to the Division under the direction of the Trust's Chief Operating Officer, within a clear and effective accountability framework, in order to deliver the annual Operational Plan, National constitutional and Local standards of performance and ensure budget responsibilities are managed inclusive of income generation and growth and financial sustainability.Work with commissioners, system partners and NHSI to optimise delivery and improve patient pathways whilst ensuring stability (and growth) of funding streams/income for the Trust.
