Job summary

We currently have an opportunity for a Band 2, Phlebotomistto join our caring and committed Outpatient Dept at Buxton Hospital and Cavendish Hospital, Buxton, Derbyshire.

The post holder must have access to their own means of transport and be able to meet the travel requirements of the post.

You will be part of a team which provides person centred, individualised care and the successful candidate will be a good communicatorwho believes that the patient experience is central to the care they deliver.

We are looking for an individual who is flexible, reliable, dynamic in outlook, with a keen sense of team working and eager to learn new skills.You will work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team and be supported in your professional development.

Personal and professional growth is activelysupported, and although previous experience is desirable, training for the right candidate will be available.

Main duties of the job

KEY PURPOSE/SUMMARY

o To work proactively as part of a small team of phlebotomists in Buxton in an established serviceo To participate in the work of the Community Phlebotomy clinics and the GP Practiceso To participate in the evolving and changing needs of patients in the local practice populationo To regularly work without supervision for periods of time during the working dayo At all times to behave and conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the 'DCHS way'
