Job summary
The Care Records Architecture Lead provides strategic technical leadership for managed care records, acting as a senior subject matter expert in systems architecture, interoperability, integration strategy and future-state design across Central East.
The role shapes and influences technical direction, defining architectural standards aligned to national guidance and advising on data sharing, connectivity, interoperability and system alignment across health, social care, VCFSE, pharmacy and neighbouring ICSs.
Bringing deep expertise in solution design, clinical data models and stakeholder engagement, the post holder ensures managed care records are secure, scalable and interoperable. Working strategically, the role identifies opportunities for optimisation and innovation, provides authoritative advice to senior leaders, and ensures alignment with national standards, emerging technologies and the NHS long-term digital strategy.
Main duties of the job
The Care Records Architecture Lead plays a key technical and architectural role within Central East Integrated Care Board (ICB), taking responsibility for the design and delivery of solution architectures for managed care records within their area of work. This role is responsible for the technical design and coordination of interoperability activities within a defined area, ensuring that architecture, quality, and improvement objectives are achieved, considering options for technical solutions to deliver on requirements and any adjustments to designs that may be needed.
Communicating with a variety of stakeholders, ensuring that complex information is communicated in a way that is understood, and ensuring tact and diplomacy where this may be contentious. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the postholder provides professional and supportive leadership, subject matter expertise enabling technical delivery, and contributes to service improvement and transformation.
