We're looking for an inspirational and experienced Team Manager to lead our Care Experienced Young People Team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape services, support a talented workforce and help young people make successful transitions into adulthood and independence.

The Role

As Team Manager, you will provide leadership, direction and support to a dedicated team working with care experienced young people aged 16-25. This is a new, permanent role created due to expansion in our Care Experienced People’s Service.

You will:

Lead and inspire a high-performing team focused on achieving outstanding outcomes.

Ensure young people receive high-quality, relationship-based support and pathway planning.

Promote positive outcomes in education, employment and training.

Support young people to access and sustain suitable accommodation.

Champion participation and ensure young people's voices influence service delivery.

Drive excellent safeguarding practice and effective risk management.

Develop strong partnerships across housing, health, education and community services.

Create a learning culture where practitioners feel supported, challenged and valued.

Contribute to service development and continuous improvement across Children's Services.

About You

You will be a passionate and motivated leader with experience of working with children, young people and families within statutory services.

We're looking for someone who:

Holds a recognised Social Work qualification and is registered with Social Work England.

Has significant experience working with care experienced young people, children in care or leaving care services.

Has experience of leading, supervising and developing staff.

Has sound knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance and best practice relating to care leavers and corporate parenting responsibilities.

Can build strong and effective relationships with young people, families and partner agencies.

Is committed to strengths-based practice and achieving the very best outcomes for young people.

Brings energy, creativity and determination to improving services.

Most importantly, you'll share our belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, achieve their ambitions and build a successful future.
