Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Community Dietetic Team as an Administrator. The Administrator plays a key role in supporting the efficient delivery of the Dietetic service, ensuring high-quality administrative support across the team. This position is one of two administrative roles within the service, working collaboratively to provide comprehensive support.
Main duties of the job
- Provide general administration and secretarial support to ensure smooth service operation and clinical care coordination.
- Process referrals and perform initial triage according to local policies, taking necessary actions to support patient care.
- Record and file all referrals following clinical triage procedures.
- Handle general office tasks such as clinic bookings, OASIS data entry, ENVOY reschedule system and managing phone calls.
- Use advanced IT skills to produceaccuratereports on referrals, caseloads, waiting lists, audits, and service development.

Job description:
To provide a comprehensive, effective and efficient administrative support service to Dudley Community Dietetics Team. The post holder will work with supervision and at times will work alone. The post holder will therefore be expected to contribute towards organising their own day-to-day work tasks and activities by co-operating with the weekly tasks distributed. When dealing with queries from patients, gp practices, the post holder will be expected to exercise their judgment in applying statutory regulations and local policies in order to resolve routine matters. More complex queries should be referred to senior staff members. The role will include a high degree of communication, mainly telephone and occasional face-to-face. Referrals are received via E-referral and appointments are booked electronically via a busy appointments system.
