Job summary
The role is responsible for providing efficient administrative and clerical support to the Occupational Health department, ensuring a professional and customer-focused service for employees and visitors. You will be expected to support day-to-day operational activities and actively participate in departmental meetings.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing appointments
- Maintaining confidential records
- Updating department IT systems
- Handling enquiries
- Supporting clinic administration
- Processing correspondence and documentation
- Assisting colleagues through training and guidance
- Contributing to the achievement of departmental performance targets

Main duties of the job
Responsibilities include welcoming patients and visitors, managing enquiries via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions, coordinating and rescheduling appointments through the OPAS G2 Occupational Health system and ensuring tasks are prioritised appropriately to meet service demands.
The role requires flexibility to work across sites when required and involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, colleagues, and external departments to ensure the delivery of a seamless, high-quality service.

Qualifications:
- Good general education to include CSE or GCSE in English Language and Maths or equivalent/experience
Experience:
- Experience of working with filing systems
- Experience of good customer or patient care
- Work with IT systems
Knowledge and Awareness:
- Confidentiality issues
- Awareness of own limitations
