Job summary
The CAMHS Learning Disability Service is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Team Lead to provide visible clinical and operational leadership to a specialist, well-established multidisciplinary team supporting children and young people with moderate to profound Intellectual Developmental Disability and complex mental health needs across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. You will oversee a team of approximately 25 staff, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based assessment, intervention and care across outpatient and outreach pathways. The role requires strong clinical credibility, effective team leadership and a commitment to safe, timely and person-centred service delivery. You will promote excellence in practice, service development, workforce wellbeing and performance. We are looking for a confident, compassionate leader with substantial experience in Learning Disability and Mental Health services. Experience within childrens mental health or childrens learning disability services is desirable but not essential. This secondment offers the opportunity to shape specialist provision and improve outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and families. Main duties of the job
1. To provide visible and accessible clinical and managerial leadership to CAMHs Learning Disability team. 2. To ensure the delivery of a clinically effective highly specialised service which delivers effective packages of care that are reflective of individuals diverse needs 3. To set, monitor and evaluate standards to ensure a high quality of care. 4. To act as a highly specialised expert resource within the field of CAMHS 5. To support the development of the team and the workforce within it. 6. To provide effective management of clinical performance and productivity to ensure that children and young people are seen in a timely manner.
