As a Family Engagement and Grants Officer, you will play a crucial role in securing funding opportunities to support our initiatives and enhancing family engagement at the school.  You will work closely with community organisations, families and grant- making institutions to promote engagement, identify funding sources and develop successful grant proposals. 

The successful candidate will:

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with families, community members and partner organisation;

Have experience of leading/facilitating/monitoring and evaluating initiatives for parents and families in a school/community setting;

Act as a liaison between families and the school ensuring effective communication and engagement;

Conduct outreach activities to identify potential grant opportunities and establish connections with grant making institutions;

Research, write and submit compelling grant proposals to secure funding of the projects;

Manage and maintain accurate records of grants including progress reports, budget and documents required;

Have an NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent;

Be enthusiastic about speaking with and engaging families and be flexible in their approach to the varying demands of this role;

Be flexible and be able to work on their own initiative;

Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills;

Be confident and outgoing.
