We have an excellent opportunity for a Service Director, Housing Operations to join our team within the Housing Service here at Wokingham Borough Council on a Permanent, Full-time basis.

This is a significant opportunity to lead and shape Wokingham Borough Council’s integrated housing services at a pivotal time. As Service Director, Housing Operations, you will provide visible, strategic and operational leadership across our landlord, housing needs, homelessness, temporary accommodation and asset management functions.

You will ensure that residents have safe, well-managed homes and accessible, preventative services, while strengthening regulatory assurance, improving performance and maintaining the long-term sustainability of our Housing Revenue Account.

We are looking for an accomplished and values-led housing leader who combines professional credibility with sound commercial judgement, strong political awareness and a clear commitment to resident outcomes. You will bring the confidence to challenge, the ability to lead through change and the ambition to build a capable, accountable and resilient housing service.
