Job summary

An exciting development opportunity has arisen for an individual to work within the haematology clinical nurse specialist team . This would suit a nurse with a special interest in haematology and apheresis. The haematology CNS team are committed to providing specialised, excellent care and treatment and wish to continue in our drive to further improve the service to our patients. As a specialist nurse the post holder will be responsible for the delivery of specialist care and clinical management of a variety of haematology related disorders including involvement in the apheresis and transplant service.

As a specialist nurse you will need to possess excellent communication skills and show the desire to further enhance their knowledge and skills within this specialised area

This is a full time post, working 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for providing specialist nursing advice and psychological support to haematology patients and their families.

The post holder will be an experienced nurse who uses specialist knowledge and skills to act as a resource, providing advice and education in relation to all aspects of haematological care to health care professionals across all settings.

Be an active member of the RCHT Haematology Transplant Service, facilitating apheresis services.

The post holder will work under the supervision of the Band 7 Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialists.
