An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hotel Services Team Leader to work at St Mary'sHospital, Kettering.

The post involves the "hands on" supervision and leadership of a team within the catering Department. You will enjoy plenty of variety in your work, additionally, you will have responsibility for Stores, Delivery service, completing menus, record keeping, staff development and training and running the caf vie.

Main duties of the job

Communicate with others in a prompt, polite and friendly manner.

Preparation, cooking and service in the Caf retail outlet as required. Must be computer literate, have a good eye for detail and be able to lead, develop and motivate staff and students.

• Must be customer focussed and be proactive in delivering continued improvements to the current service.
• Have a good working knowledge and awareness of a broad range of catering practices and principles, including ordering, menu planning and costing along with having a real passion for food and service.
• Have proven experience of working in the food industry with supervisory skills.
• Have a relevant vocational qualification at level 2 or above in hospitality and food production.Hold a current nationally recognised food hygiene certificate.
• Ensure kitchen environment is clean, tidy & hazard free. Ensuring schedules for cleaning of equipment and kitchen are prepared, displayed and implemented.
• Be able to meet tight deadlines and have the ability to see tasks through to a successful conclusion.
• Be organised and have administration skills.
• Complete staffing rotas for kitchen ensuring adequate levels of staff are rostered on duty as needed to provide level of service required.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements of food hygiene, storage, and temperature control by following guidance in Food Safety Management System and maintain all necessary records in a legible manner.
