An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 8A, Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Systemic anti Cancer Therapy (SACT). We are looking for an innovative and inspirational SACT ANP who is passionate about making a difference to both patients and staff.

You will play a pivotal role in supporting new ways of working that emphasise efficient, effective and patient- focused care. You will practice autonomously as an ANP within the SACT service to provide patient-centred clinical care, encompassing the skills of advanced clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice.

With the launch of our updated Cancer Strategy we are developing our day unit SACT service to be nurse delivered across the pathway including developing roles that encompass extended practice supported by appropriate education. You will work alongside our Consultant Nurse Chemotherapy, Trust Lead SACT Nurse and Chemotherapy Day unit manager to develop an environment that provides safe and responsive care. You will inspire and support the day unit team with shared values putting the patients at the centre of care delivery and service transformation.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as an advanced autonomous practitioner working both independently and alongside other health care professionals to assess, investigate, diagnose, and treat patients attending the Chemotherapy Day Unit with specific conditions utilising advanced levels of clinical judgment and diagnostic reasoning. You will demonstrate ability to work autonomously at a high level across all pillars of advanced practice.
