Job summary

This vacancy is for band 3 senior clinical support workers to join our existing workforce within the medical division. These posts will be based on Ward 19 which will be extended to 28 medical beds as we head into the winter period.

Within ward 19 we work closely as a multidisciplinary team to provide care and support to our patients who experience a diverse range of medical conditions. Our focus is to ensure the delivery of high quality of care alongside a wide range of treatments, to enable our patients to recover from their acute episodes of illness and achieve the best possible outcomes, enabling timely discharge to the appropriate placements.

Main duties of the job

Provide and support patients as necessary with both personal and clinical care activities.Maintain accurate records of the patient's care, documenting as appropriate on the Electronic Patient Record (Cerner) in line with Trust, professional and departmental guidelines.

Observe patients and reports any changes to a Registered professional for review.

Report any abnormal findings directly to the registered professional in charge or doctor.

Undertake a range of basic housekeeping, stock control and administrative duties within the clinical environment.
