Were now looking for an experienced and engaging Quality and Safety Trainer to join our team, working 37.5 hours per week. Youll play an important role in supporting training compliance and delivering high-quality learning across our health and care services. The role will primarily support services across Surrey, with some delivery of training in Kent also required. What youll do As a Quality and Safety Trainer, youll design, deliver and evaluate engaging learning that helps colleagues work safely, confidently and in line with the required quality and safety standards.

Main duties of the job

As a Quality and Safety Trainer, you will design, deliver, and evaluate engaging learning sessions that help colleagues work safely, confidently, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. You will deliver training to colleagues from a variety of professional backgrounds, tailoring your approach to different roles, levels of experience, and learning needs. This hybrid role will require you to primarily support services across Surrey, with some travel to Kent required for training delivery. You will need a full driving licence and the ability to travel between different locations. Responsibilities include designing and delivering clinical and safety training, supporting internal quality assurance processes, and maintaining accurate training records. It is essential to have a degree-level education or equivalent experience, and a recognized Level 4 teaching, training, or assessing qualification, or a willingness to achieve this within an agreed timeframe.

What youll doAs a Quality and Safety Trainer, youll design, deliver and evaluate engaging learning that helps colleagues work safely, confidently and in line with the required quality and safety standards.

Youll deliver training to colleagues from a variety of professional backgrounds, adapting your approach to different roles, levels of experience and learning needs.

Working closely with colleagues across The Learning Enterprise and our operational services, youll:

• Design and deliver engaging clinical and Quality and Safety training to a range of audiences
• Deliver learning through a blend of face-to-face and virtual methods
• Support the internal quality assurance of clinical and Quality and Safety learning interventions in line with TLE processes
• Help maintain the clinical and Quality and Safety training course catalogue, ensuring course information remains accurate and up to date
• Contribute to relevant training projects and programmes of work
• Support subject matter experts who deliver learning across the organisation
• Identify and implement improvements to learning provision
• Support training needs analysis to identify demand for new or updated learning interventions
• Develop clear learning outcomes, objectives and appropriate course content
• Adapt learning materials and delivery methods to meet different learning styles and additional needs
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training and use feedback to improve future delivery
• Maintain accurate training records and support compliance reporting
• Manage your own workload, travel and priorities effectively
• Work collaboratively with clinical, operational, quality and learning colleagues

Where youll workThis is a hybrid role, with your base office at one of our Surrey hubs.

Our Surrey hub locations include:

• Elmbridge KT12 3LB
• Chertsey KT16 8LA
• Guildford GU3 1LR
• Redhill RH1 5GG

Youll primarily deliver training across Surrey, although some travel to Kent will also be required to provide training, cover and support.

As regular travel forms an important part of the role, youll need a full driving licence and the ability to travel between different locations.

To be successful in this role, youll need:

• Degree-level education or equivalent relevant experience
• A recognised Level 4 teaching, training or assessing qualification, or a willingness to achieve this within an agreed timeframe
• The ability to deliver training across a range of appropriate health and care subject areas
• Experience of designing, developing and delivering high-quality blended learning for health and care audiences
• Experience of delivering both face-to-face and virtual training
• Confidence and competence in using digital tools to develop and deliver learning
• Knowledge and experience of curriculum development and course design
• Strong presentation, facilitation, communication and coaching skills
• The ability to engage and inspire learners from different professional backgrounds
• Experience of supporting learners with different learning styles and additional needs
• Excellent planning, organisation and time-management skills
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• An awareness of current developments within health, care and education
• A genuine passion for developing others and improving the quality and safety of care

Experience of delivering patient moving and handling or basic life support training would be beneficial, although training can be provided.

Previous experience of delivering fire safety training is not required for this role.
