Main duties of the job

Were now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Maintenance Coordinator at Avery Care Home in Kettering. As a Maintenance Coordinator, your role will focus on maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for both residents and team members. You will ensure the smooth functioning of facilities and maintain a good standard of general upkeep for the building. Your responsibilities will include resolving any home maintenance concerns promptly, engaging with approved contractors when required, covering all emergencies relating to the fabric of the home, and possibly managing a Maintenance Assistant. Your expertise in building systems like plumbing, HVAC, and electrical will be essential, along with a strong commitment to our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asaMaintenance Coordinator will be to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents and team members, ensuring the smooth running of the facilities, whilst maintaining a good standard of general upkeep for the building.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Resolving any home maintenance concerns promptly. This isaccomplishedwitha working knowledge of building systems and related regulatory requirements. These systems include plumbing,heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, equipment repairs,and interior/exterior finishes.
• Engaging with approved contractors as and whenrequiredand sourcing alternative suppliers as and whenneeded.
• Covering all emergencies relating to the fabric of the home or systems contained within the building.
• Where applicable, the Maintenance Coordinator will have direct line management of the Maintenance Assistant, which includes day-to-daysupervision, objective setting and annual reviews, approval of hours, absence management and holiday authorisation.
