About the Role

This post represents an ideal opportunity for a self-motivated individual to build on their trial management skills and to gain exposure working on clinical trials investigating medical devices. TRIAGE is a cluster randomised cross-over trial, currently in set-up, which will evaluate whether MIDI (Magnetic resonance Imaging abnormality Deep learning Identification), a Class I SaMD AI-based triage tool for adult brain MRI scans, can reduce turnaround time (TAT) of abnormal scans.

About You

Previous research experience working on multi-site clinical trials in set-up involving NHS patients or research participants is essential.

About the School/Department/Institute/Project

The Wolfson Institute of Population Health (WIPH) is an exciting and dynamic environment, home to more than 450 staff, 100 PhD students and c500 postgraduate taught students. It harnesses expertise across a wide range of population-based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health, primary care and preventive medicine. The Institute is organised into six separate research centres which, though complementary and following the Institute strategic plan, also have Centre-specific objectives and requirements.

The post-holder will work in the Centre for Evaluation and Methods (CEM). The post-holder will contribute in particular to the Pragmatic Clinical Trials Unit (PCTU), who are collaborating with KCL on the TRIAGE trial. The post-holder will also be expected to work closely with Professor Thomas Booth’s research team at KCL.

£40,015 to £46,618 per annum.
