About the Role

This role provides essential administrative support within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of key processes. Working closely with and under the guidance of the Operations Officer, the post holder will be responsible for the practical execution of administrative tasks related to finance and HR, directly contributing to the smooth functioning of the Institutes. A key aspect of this role will be to work collaboratively with colleagues across faculty and central teams to ensure the seamless delivery of administrative support.

About You

Essential requirements for this post include significant administrative experience, including accounts administration, as well as the ability to prioritise a varied workload and meet deadlines, is essential. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good attention to detail, is also essential. Previous experience in a research/clinical environment would be an advantage.

About the Faculty

The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry comprises six Institutes, that deliver the Faculty’s research and educational activities. The Faculty maintains a wide range of key interactions with partner organisations, including overseas partners, other Government departments, research and education networks, funders and regulators. The role sits within the Professional Services job family, and the role holder is expected to be an active part of the University’s support staff family, working with academic colleagues, across a wide range of responsibilities to help deliver its academic mission.
