Location: Frenchay Campus, Bristol (Hybrid: approx. 60% on-site, up to 40% work from home)

Contract Type: Full-time, 6-month fixed-term

About the Role

UWE Bristol’s People Services team is looking for an experienced HR professional to provide a professional advisory and partnering service. You will manage a diverse, complex employee relations caseload - including attendance, conduct, grievances, flexible working, restructuring, and workplace conflict - while promoting early resolution and working closely with Trade Unions.

You will also contribute to wider People Services initiatives, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues in a collaborative team environment.

About You

You are a knowledgeable, credible HR professional with:

Significant experience managing a complex employee relations caseload in a large organisation.

Expertise in advising managers on organisational change (restructures, redundancy, etc.).

Excellent communication, coaching, influencing, and problem-solving skills.

Degree-level education (or equivalent experience) and a CIPD Level 5 qualification (or near completion).

Up-to-date employment law knowledge (Higher Education experience is advantageous).
