Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Paediatric Allergy Nurse Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team and provide high-quality, specialist care to children and young people living with allergies.

The successful candidate will provide specialist assessment, testing, advice, education and nursing support to children, young people and their families/carers. Working autonomously while collaborating closely with the wider multidisciplinary team, you will manage a defined caseload and coordinate individual patient pathways to ensure care is safe, effective, evidence-based and centred around the needs of each child and family.

Main duties of the job

• Participate in nurse led and consultant led clinics ensuring patients receive appropriate investigations, treatment and follow up
• Undertake diagnostic skin prick tests
• Advise on allergy management
• Empower children and young people and parents to develop confidence and independence in managing their allergy
• Give specialist advice to families, schools and other professionals around the management of allergy
• Support and Oversee staff nurses undertaking food challenges
