We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Substance Misuse team at HMP Belmarsh, a category A Prison located in London

Monday Friday 8am  -4pm  Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £71,152per annum

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Main duties of the job

As a Advanced Clinical Practitioner,  your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Demonstrate judgement in assessing and managing wide ranging and complex patient problems
• Provide clinical leadership for the substance misuse team This multi-disciplinary team is made up of a variety of registered and non-registered professionals including; mental health, and substance misuse practitioners
• You will act as a role model ensuring professional appearance and maintaining professional standards at all times
• This role is primarily for substance misuse priscribing
• 121 supervision with the lead GP
• Supporting senior clinicians on site you will be part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients
• As a clinical expert in your field, you will work with the team to ensure; patient safety, the management of complex cases and ensure the most up to date treatment methodology is applied to patient care.

Qualifications required:

• Independent/supplementary prescriber qualification
• MSc in Advanced Practice
• Experience working autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner following best practice guidance

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
