Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join the EMERGE Leeds team.

EMERGE Leeds provides a range of interventions for people with complex emotional and relational difficulties, including care coordination, groupwork, Housing, Peer Support, Occupational Therapy, psychotherapy, and Creative Therapies.

In this role, you will contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of psychologically informed occupational therapy assessments and interventions within a specialist multidisciplinary service.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across EMERGE Leeds, you will undertake assessments and interventions for individuals referred to the service and support people to develop meaningful, fulfilling occupational lives.

A key part of the role involves delivering Journey, our psychologically informed occupational therapy group programme, alongside providing individual occupational therapy interventions for people experiencing Complex Emotional Needs.

As a valued member of the Occupational Therapy team, you will manage a varied clinical caseload while also contributing to the team's support and development through supervision and participation in group reflective practice.

Main duties of the job

• Deliver specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions.

Contribute to multidisciplinary assessments and care planning.

To develop positive and meaningful therapeutic relationships with individuals who experience emotional distress and interpersonal difficulties

Facilitate Journey therapeutic group interventions.

Provide individual occupational therapy interventions tailored to service user needs.

Support the development of psychologically informed occupational therapy practice within the service.

Participate in supervision and contribute to reflective practice within the team.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, partner agencies, and service users to promote meaningful participation in everyday life
