Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Band 7 Team Leader to our well-established Special School nursing service within Herefordshire & Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. This post is 30 hours per week, on an all-year-round contract. The successful candidate will have proven leadership skills and knowledge of the special school nursing service. It is essential that the successful candidate has recent clinical skills and experience in caring for children/young people with complex health needs and a sound knowledge and background in safeguarding processes. The successful candidate will need to be a Registered nurse.

This post is Countywide with a base in Bromsgrove and Worcester.

This is a part time role working 30 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe and appropriate care to children, young people, and their families. This will include professional leadership and allocation and delegation of work to meet service users' individual needs, ensuring care is delivered by competent staff. The post holder will provide day to day operational delivery including supervision and support to the Team throughout the County. You must be able to plan and evaluate care needs, have excellent clinical skills and assessment skills, deliver teaching sessions in school and assess staff for competencies to undertake health interventions.
