We are a small, friendly team committed to providing a first class service. We are housed in a purpose built unit at Kettering General Hospital. We have a breast screening population of approx. 52,000 women and manage the administration for the breast screening services . We also support the breast clinic with their symptomatic one-stop breast clinics as well as follow up imaging clinics.

Kettering Breast Screening Unit is looking to appoint into their Deputy Breast Screening and Very High Risk Programme Coordinator post. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to apply to this substantive position.

Main duties of the job

The role of Deputy Breast Screening and Very High Risk Programme Coordinator is an integral part of the Breast Screening team providing support to the Programme Coordinator and also overseeing the Very High Risk screening programme with service delivery, planning, strategy and achieving the operational targets.

The role will also include:

Assisting in accurate data input, data audit and data management to support the delivery of the NHSBSP.

Providing support to the Breast Screening Programme Coordinator in the preparation of the weekly Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meeting and updating of MDT outcomes.

Overseeing the NHSBSP Very High Risk cohort.

Breast screening batch preparation and management in accordance with NHSBSP guidelines.

Undertaking monthly, quarterly and annually reporting of programme statistics to stakeholders, including NHS England.

To deputise for the Programme Co-Ordinator in their absence.

Job description

The Deputy Breast Screening and very high risk Programme Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day to day running and management of the breast screening administration office which provides the administrative functions for the Breast Screening Programme.

Including supporting the Programme coordinator in overseeing the process of inviting eligible clients for screening using the National Breast Screening System (NBSS), based on lists derived from the BS Select system and for making sure all women receive the right result following their screening episode.
