Conwy County Borough Council is looking for skilled, motivated and compassionate Social Workers to join our Assessment and Support Team. Our Assessment and Support Team works with children and families who need care and support, children who need protection, Looked After Children and children involved in Public and Private Law proceedings. You will be part of a service committed to strengthening families, reducing the need for children to become looked after wherever it is safe to do so, and ensuring every child receives the right support at the right time.

You will not be doing this work alone. In Conwy, Social Workers are supported by dedicated colleagues, embedded family intervention workers, in-house psychologists, ASD Occupational Therapists, therapeutic workers, our award-winning Strengthening Families Team and residential outreach support. Our focus is on meaningful direct work with children and families.

Based at our modern, open-plan Coed Pella offices in Colwyn Bay, you will work closely with partners across Youth Justice, Education, Housing, Adult Services and other key services. This close working environment supports strong relationships, joined-up practice and better outcomes for families.

About you
You must hold a recognised Social Work qualification, such as BA/MA Social Work, CQSW or DipSW.
