Work as an integral part of the service in delivering high quality brief interventions to people within the criminal justice system including Custody Suites, Prisons and Probation.

Main duties of the job

o Facilitate harm reduction interventions including the delivery of Naloxone training to clients, families and partnershipso Supporting non opiates and non-dependant alcohol who are released from custodyo Contributing to working collaboratively with people to build their recovery capital and ensuring positive recovery outcomes.o Ensuring people have scheduled appointments and remove barriers to attendance.o Promoting visible recovery to clients within the criminal justice system o Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider communityo Ensuring that your work is evidence based, up to date and in accordance with current policy and legislation.o Facilitate and oversee initial brief interventions and screening.o Keeping up to date and accurate records and documentation.o Deliver training to partnership agencies

• To deliver effective brief interventions
• To work with service users in attendance and manage day today issues which arise upon release from custody or prisons etc
• To signpost to local services and empower service users to build their community networks and recovery capital.
• To promote visible and contagious recovery to service users within the criminal justice systems.
• To work collaboratively with all service users/partner agencies/stakeholders to identify the barriers that prevent people from all communities accessing a full range of services, including substance misuse mental health wellbeing and primary mental health services.
• To create and maintain a local Recovery Assets Register suitable for service users within the criminal justice systems
