Lead the Future of an Innovative NHS Subsidiary

NTH Solutions is seeking an exceptional individual to become its next Independent Chair.

As a successful NHS subsidiary company, NTH Solutions provides a broad range of Estates, Facilities, Procurement and Support Services to North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust and to a growing portfolio of external organisations. The organisation employs more than 700 colleagues and plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of safe, high quality healthcare services whilst generating value for the NHS.

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic leadership to a well-established and ambitious organisation at a time of significant opportunity across the NHS and wider public sector landscape.

Working closely with the Board, Managing Director and shareholder representatives, you will ensure the organisation maintains the highest standards of corporate governance, supports sustainable growth and continues to deliver excellent services for patients, service users and customers.

As Independent Chair, you will help steer NTH Solutions through its next phase of development, supporting the organisation to harness digital innovation, technology-enabled improvement and modern data-driven approaches across its services. You will provide strategic oversight to ensure digital opportunities are identified and utilised to improve operational performance, customer experience, workforce productivity and commercial growth

Job description

Has significant Board-level leadership experience within complex organisations.

Has operated as a Chair, Non-Executive Director or senior executive.

Demonstrates a strong understanding of governance, risk management and organisational assurance.

Champion innovation, digital transformation and the effective use of technology across the organisation, ensuring NTH Solutions remains forward-looking and responsive to the evolving needs of the NHS and wider healthcare sector

Can provide strategic challenge and support to leaders.

Has experience of driving organisational improvement, transformation and commercial development.

Understands the importance of culture, people, equality and inclusion.

Can build effective relationships with shareholders, NHS partners, regulators and external stakeholders.

Demonstrates sound judgement, integrity and independence.

Experience within health, public services, infrastructure, estates, facilities, commercial enterprises or regulated sectors would be advantageous.
