Job summary

Park Edge Practice is looking for an enthusiastic, caring and committed Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team.

We are seeking a GP with excellent clinical skills and a warm, patient-centred approach who is committed to providing high-quality care to our diverse community.

You will provide care throughout the patient journey, from initial history-taking and clinical assessment through to diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. You will demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and strong assessment and diagnostic skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

The role is offered at 4 - 6 sessions per week.

Required working days are Wednesdays and Fridays, with a third working day flexible.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will:

• Provide high-quality, patient-centred clinical care.
• Undertake appropriate history-taking, clinical assessment and diagnosis.
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment and management plans.
• Evaluate patient care and outcomes.
• Demonstrate safe and effective clinical decision-making.
• Provide high-quality assessment and diagnostic care within the community.
• Contribute positively to the delivery of high-quality patient-centred services.
• Participate in clinical team meetings and informal clinical discussions.
• Contribute to practice development and improvement initiatives.

Job description

Main DutiesThe post holder will:

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centred general medical care.
• Undertake consultations including history-taking, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up.
• Make safe and effective clinical decisions and manage clinical uncertainty appropriately.
• Manage a broad range of acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe safely and appropriately and arrange appropriate investigations and referrals.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and respond appropriately to results and correspondence.
• Work collaboratively with the practice team and wider multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in clinical meetings, clinical governance, audit and quality improvement.
• Contribute to safeguarding and the care of vulnerable patients.
• Maintain professional standards, confidentiality and continuing professional development.
• Contribute to teaching and supporting medical students and doctors in training where appropriate.

Practice InformationPark Edge Practice is a GMS practice, rated Good by the CQC, with approximately 5,700 patients across Seacroft and Roundhay.

Our clinical team comprises 2 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 2 Practice Nurses and 1 HCA. We use SystmOne supported by Ardens and have a strong record of QoF performance.

We are a longstanding training practice supporting medical students and doctors in training and are committed to professional development and practice improvement.

Terms and Benefits

• £10,500 - £11,500 per session per annum, dependent on experience.
