Are you looking for a new challenge? Would you like a career as a translator? This is an ideal opportunity for you!

We are seeking to appoint two translators to join our team for 12 months to cover maternity leave, however there may be a possibility of extending the contract afterwards. These posts are full time posts, however we would consider applications from translators who wish to work less hours as well.

The posts are located in Coed Pella, Bae Colwyn, however there is flexibility to work from home a few days a week as well in order to ensure a work-life balance.

Teamwork is very important to us and there is plenty of support and assistance available at all times, whether you’re working in the office or at home.

The team are responsible for translating all manner of documents for all of Conwy Council’s services as well as many other external organisations, therefore there is plenty of variety in our work. Most of our work involves translating documents from English to Cymraeg.

We are looking for individuals who can work accurately and quickly under pressure and who will be effective members of the team. We would welcome applications from experienced translators as well as new graduates.

This role offers flexible working options for a work life balance. This can include adjusting your working day and hybrid working, ie a balance of office and home working.
