Job summary

To organise, prepare and assist with specialist clinics e.g., wound review clinic, Skin cancer lists and casualty.

Prepare medical and orthodontic notes for clinics including obtaining investigation results from computerised systems - Xrays MRI and CT scans.

Obtaining Orthodontic appliances from the laboratory.

Take on responsibility for personal development and support the development and supervision of others by developing and maintaining specialist knowledge.Conduct oneself in a professional manner and be a role model to less experienced and new staff at all times

Work proactively to ensure that every patient attendance meets the patient's expectations and needs with timely undertaking of procedure and effective communication with relatives, patients and carers.

This is a great opportunity for you to develop and expand your skills as a Registered Nurse to the next level.Clinics you will assist in our Oral surgery, Skin procedures under local anaesthetic, IV sedation and minor operations, Orthodontics and specialised clinics such as Orthognathic.You will need to be a highly motivated and confident member of the team. Our patients will expect and will receive the highest standards of professional care by all members of the team.The hours required are:Weekdays 08:30 - 17:00Weekends 08:30 - approx 12:30

Clinical

Take responsibility for the assessing, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care Support colleagues in care provision

Provide clinical expertise with up to date knowledge within the speciality

To be aware of budgetary implications when planning care To deliver Nurse led assessment

Communication

To ensure effective communication between members of the multi-disciplinary team

To ensure patients and relatives are kept informed as appropriate

To liaise with other disciplines within the trust to ensure smooth and safe running of the department

To ensure effective communication with GPs and other disciplines in primary care

Professional

To work within the professional scope of the Nursing and Midwifery Council adhering to the Code of Professional Conduct

To work within the United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust policies
