We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant, to join our team at HMP Hatfield, a category D Prison located in Hatfield Woodhouse, Yorkshire.
HMP Hatfield is a prison and young offender institution near Doncaster for men aged 18 and over. It is split into 2 sites, Hatfield Main and Hatfield Lakes.
Hours
This role is 36 hours per weeks working 4 days a week on a rolling shift rota, Monday to Sunday. There are no night shifts for this role.
Salary This position is part time, youll receive an annual salary of £25,557 - £29,723 pro rata depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care
- Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Qualifications required
- NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills and IT literacy
- Ability to work within a busy environment
- Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment
